Traverse City Wedding Peninsula Room Brianna + Jay
Brianna + Jay’s beautiful Traverse City wedding didn’t go exactly as they had planned, but it was a lovely celebration with s’mores, Moomers and their beloved fur baby.
“Brianna, I think you know I married you a long time ago. This is just the fun party. I promise to love you and appreciate you. I vow to protect you, even though everybody here is more scared of you than me.”
The sun was shining in the morning as I drove along the peninsula overlooking the stunning bay. Brianna was getting ready with her girlfriends at the charming Chateau Grand Traverse.

As the rain drops started to fall, the sun soon disappeared behind the clouds. Brianna looked simply stunning in her dress as her maid-of-honor helped her with the veil. There seemed to be a break in the weather and we headed out for photos overlooking the vineyard. Just as I was set up, the downpour came. Fortunately for the bridal party, I was the only one caught in the torrential rain. Because the skies cleared, we were able to get some beautiful shots in the vineyard. Meanwhile in an undisclosed location, Jay was with his groomsmen getting ready for the big day.
The white chairs were set up for the outdoor ceremony overlooking the water at The Peninsula Room, but the rain kept falling. As the ceremony began, all that mattered was the love these two shared and the fun way they poke fun at each other. After the ceremony, their beloved fur baby Miller was able to give the couple a congratulations smooch as he excitedly ran around the lawn.
Because the clouds lifted for a little bit, guests were able to enjoy cocktails and games on the great lawn. Brianna + Jay made sure that their guests enjoyed some extra treats. After dinner, s’mores were served by the outdoor campfire. Since Moomers Ice Cream is a favorite in Traverse City, the kids were delighted!
